Since 1925, Lanificio Luigi Ricceri has been located in Prato, in Via Bologna. Founded by Luigi Ricceri, and carried on by his son Giorgio, the company is now run by the founder's grandsons, Francesco and Luigi.

The peculiar characteristic of Lanificio Luigi Ricceri is the complete verticalization of the production process, this structure allows to guarantee the standards of absolute excellence on the quality control. This is a service model built on the sartorial excellence even on small quantities and a profile of total confidentiality, fundamental to ensure to every customer true exclusivity on fabrics. Lanificio Luigi Ricceri is an italian business reality full of excellence in the fabrics’ production, it originates from the Twenties and is always specialized in fabrics for plain and fancy coats and constantly oriented towards the stylistic research and the customization of the product.

The owners’ passion, absolute freedom of the stylistic department and the ongoing technical research complete the mix of ingredients that made possible to guarantee throughout the years a reliability recognized by the most important fashion maisons.

Production
Our Company
Now the company consists of 20.000 covered mq on a surface of about 35.000 mq. There are 120 workers, with an annual production of about 1 million of metres. Lanificio Luigi Ricceri won “Première Vision Award” for the most beautiful fabric in the world and has recently launched “Baby Suri Cashmere”, a more shiny cashmere with a long hair realized with the addition of the Baby Suri Alpaca.

On the occasion of Pitti Immagine Uomo 2018, on Tuesday January 9th, at the Galleria dell’Accademia of Florence, Lanificio Luigi Ricceri presents the event “Fabric is art”. Ten exclusive and iconic fabric of the mill, true productive excellence of Made in Italy fabrics, are the protagonists of a video installation made by Felice Limosani. They have been projected on Michelangelo’s David, in a magic bond between technology and art. A unique event to appreciate Michelangelo’s masterpiece and to celebrate the meeting point between Italian genius and the ideal of perfection and beauty which always inspires Lanificio Luigi Ricceri’s products.
